Belgian Soccer Player Drives Into a Store
Belgian midfielder Jonathan Legear decided to drown his sorrows on Saturday night after not being selected by his team, Terek Grozny.
Perhaps that wasn't the greatest idea.
Legear drove his Porsche into a store in Tongeren, Belgium. Legear apparently mistook the gas pedal as the brake.
The man at the end if the video was not seriously injured.
Legear stated, "Contrary to the judgment already made by some media, I was not in a state of deep intoxication and my blood alcohol level was only slightly above the legal limit."
Well, as long as it was slightly above the limit.
Esso, the owners of the gas station, reports that a gas pump has been destroyed and the store has received about €200,000 to €300,000 worth of damage. Legear's license has been suspended for two weeks, only a slap on the wrist considering the carnage he unleashed.
This isn't his first go around with driving into buildings. In 2009, he drove his BMW X5 into a house and was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.
