After the Eagles 24-23 loss to the Niners, one has to wonder about the proclaimed "dream team". The Eagles defense and offense seem to be alright, for the first 45 minutes then the 4th quarter comes and both seem to fall apart. In the Eagles three losses this season they were outscored 36-0. 36-0! They have led in the fourth quarter in every game this season and could be 4-0 easily but, like the Red Sox (sigh), cannot close a game. Michael Vick seems too try to do to much and gets banged up and just isn't the quarterback he was last year. You also have to wonder the Eagles were called "dream team" to start off with. Is it because they signed Nnamdi Asomugha and have Michael Vick at quarterback. So what. Its not exactly the Miami Heat signing the top three free agents, they just signed the best corner in the NFL and retained Vick who, in my opinion, is not trustworthy at quarterback. On any given Sunday, I can name a handful of teams that can beat the Eagles. On the bright side, the NFC East is pretty weak and the Eagles have time to turn it around because who thinks the Redskins can hold the division lead and Dallas with Romo's streaky play take the NFC East crown. The season is still early because, hey, if the Bills can lead the AFC East (not much longer) the Eagles can turn this ship around.
