French Runner Shoves 14 Year Old Girl Mascot
French runner Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad won the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the European Championships in Helsinki and to celebrate he decided to shove a mascot at the conclusion of the race.
Inside that mascot costume was a 14 year old girl.
Its not the first time Mekhissi-Benabbad assaulted a mascot. At the 2010 European Championships, after winning the same race, he asked a mascot to kneel before him before he shoved it to the ground.
Organizers have taken note of the Frenchman's actions and he could face disciplinary repercussions.
