Kurt Busch is at it again.
At Sunday's Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500, Busch spun out on lap 99 and ran out of gas. The safety crew arrived and Kurt Busch in typical Kurt Busch fashion ignored them and drove off with the safety crew's supply bag on top his car.
NASCAR promptly parked Busch and his #51 car and was done for the day.
Busch said that his helmet was off and therefore could not hear the communication from his team to stop immediately.
"My understanding is Kurt had his helmet off, I was relaying the message from NASCAR to him but I don't think he could hear me," said Phoenix Racing GM Steve Barkdoll.
Did Busch need the safety crew? Probably not, but they were just doing their job and, hey, what else did you expect from a race sponsored by a roadside assistance group.
