Lolo Jones is known throughout the Twitter community as being an outspoken individual, but on Tuesday she went a little too far.

Paralyzed football player Eric LeGrand challenged her to a race on Twitter to which Jones responded, "Get Checked for a concussion. Clearly, u've been hit in the head... Cos u arnt beating a track athlete"

Thing is that was exactly what made LeGrand paralyzed to begin with. LeGrand was hit in the head in a game against Army and fractured his C3 and C4 vertebrae.

Jones, to her credit, was unaware that LeGrand was paralyzed, tweeting back after a follower informed her, "No, dnt know. sry dont know every football player. He challenged me 2 a race & I responded"

LeGrand wasn't offended and took the whole thing in stride saying on his Twitter, "definitely did not take it personal, I understand exactly where you are coming from. All good over here"

Jones has not publicly apologized to LeGrand as of yet.
