Miami Marlins Contact Jose Reyes
Free agent shortstop Jose Reyes has been contacted by the Miami Marlins, according to sources.
The Marlins are also said to have an interest in free agents Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder. The Marlins open up a new stadium next season and would like a top free agent to build interest in the team.
Marlins team president David Samson, president of baseball operations Larry Beinfest, and GM Mike Hill visited Reyes' agent in New York last Wednesday.
The MLB free agent season opens at 12:01 Thursday.
