In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps admits to peeing in the pool and says that every swimmer does it.
Phelps says that its not a big deal that the swimmers pee in the pool. He said, “I think everybody pees in the pool. It’s kind of a normal thing to do for swimmers. When we’re in the water for two hours, we don’t really get out to pee.”
Phelps continued, "Chlorine kills it so it's not so bad."
Recently, Phelps' rival, Ryan Lochte, has admitted to peeing in the pool on occasion. Lochte said that he relieved himself during the heats, but never during races.
