Defense attorney and Jerry Sandusky's lawyer Joe Amendola was reported to have had impregnated an underage girl then marrying her.

Mary Iavasile was weeks away from her 17th birthday when she became pregnant with Amendola's child and filed for emancipation. She gave birth shortly before she turned 18.

According to Iavasile's mother, they met through the school district when she was interested in the law.

Iavasile and Amendola have since separated, in 2003 after their second child was born, and has kept his surname.

Iavasile's mother has said the Amendola is a good father and loved his two children.

Joe Amendola said the he would allow Sandusky to be around his children during Bob Costas' interview with Jerry Sandusky on NBC's "Rock Center with Brian Williams" last night, which led to Iavasile taking to Facebook to lambast Amendola saying "OMG did Joe just say that he would allow my kids to be alone with Jerry Sandusky?"

Sandusky is facing 460 years in prison on multiple counts of child molestation.
