Its already been a tough offseason for the Nashville Predators. The Preds lost Ryan Suter and now are in serious danger of losing their captain, Shea Weber.
According to Darren Dreger of TSN, Weber has signed an offer sheet with the Philadelphia Flyers. The offer sheet is said to be 14 years and could possibly be over $100 million.
Nashville now has seven days to match the Flyers huge offer. If they don't, the Preds will receive either four or two first-round picks, one second-rounder, and a third-rounder from the Flyers.
The offer from the Flyers would become the third largest contract in NHL history.
Weber, 26, has spent his entire NHL career with the Nashville Predators and is a three time All-Star and has been named a finalist for the Norris Trophy, awarded to the best defenseman, twice.
