Seattle Sounders Fans To Vote on General Manager's Job
You know how you wish sometimes your favorite team would dump their general manager, but instead keep them on and continue to make horrible moves, i.e. Omar Minaya. Well, now Seattle Sounders fans have the chance to do that.
The Seattle Sounders season ticket holders now have the chance to whether or not to retain general manager Adrian Hanauer's job.
Voting begins on Sunday and ends on December 7th. Fans can vote at the stadium or online.
"At first, it sounded like a gimmick," said Kevin Zelko, the founder of the Gorilla F.C. fan club. "But now we're getting to do it. It's great to see it happen."
If the fans vote Hanauer out of the GM spot, he is still a minority owner of the team, along with comedian and The Price is Right host Drew Carey, and will still be involved with the team. According to KING5, an NBC affiliate in Seattle, an online poll on its site expects Hanauer to keep his job.
