Pittsburgh Steelers fullback David Johnson is out for the season after tearing his ACL in the first quarter of the Steelers opening preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Coach Mike Tomlin referred to the injury as a "significant knee inury" and the loss of Johnson creates a huge hole for the Steelers. Johnson was going to play both fullback and tight end this upcoming season.
The Steelers now have only one fullback on their roster, Will Johnson, an undrafted rookie from West Virginia.
To make matters worse, the Steelers lost the game, 24-23, to their cross state rivals.
