An arrest warrant was issued for free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens after failing to show up for a court hearing regarding child support payments.

Owens tried to reschedule the October 24 hearing due to his televised workout for NFL teams. However, no teams attended Owens' workout.

According to a spokesperson, Owens is looking for a new attorney and was representing himself while trying to change the hearing date. Owens now has new attorneys and will deal with the issue of the warrant later in the week.

Owens is trying to modify his child support payments. The payments were based on his salary with the Dallas Cowboys when he was making $12 million in 2007.

Owens, 37, is trying to latch onto an NFL team after undergoing knee surgery earlier in the year. He last played for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010, making 72 receptions for 983 yards and scoring nine touchdowns.

A third round pick by the 49ers out of Tennessee-Chattanooga, Owens has played for the 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Bills, and Bengals. He ranks sixth all-time in receptions with 1,078, second in receiving yards with 15,934, and tied for second, with Randy Moss, for touchdown receptions with 153.
