Former Los Angeles Dodgers skipper Tommy Lasorda has had recent health issues. He suffered a heart attack in June, is currently suffering from a bad case of vertigo, and he isn't getting any younger (He's 84), so its pretty normal that he is thinking about what happens when he will die.
Lasorda came up with an odd, yet funny, request when he finally reaches that final pitch.
Lasorda told his wife that when he dies he wants the Dodgers' schedule posted on his tombstone. Lasorda said of this request, "I’ve already told my wife that when I do go I want our home schedule attached to my tombstone. I want people who are in the cemetery visiting their loved ones to say, ‘Let’s go to Lasorda’s grave and see if the Dodgers are playing home or away."
He later told the Los Angeles Times, "Hey, I love this organization so much I want to be working for it after I'm dead."
Who knows if Lasorda will actually go through with it, but it would be the most unique, and coolest, tombstone ever.
