Talk about rubbing salt in the wounds, the Philadelphia Eagles' Michael Vick suffered two broken ribs during the Eagles loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Andy Reid said on Monday that Vick had broken two of his lower ribs. He may have broken them early in the game when he was hit hard and was slow to get up. He sat out for a play two plays later. Reid also went on to say the injury may have caused Vick to be inaccurate.
Vick's status for next Sunday night's big game against the NFC East leading New York Giants is unknown at this time.
The Eagles have lost five games this season in which they have held a fourth quarter lead, including Sunday's loss. The Eagles now sit at 3-6 tied for last in the NFC East with the Washington Redskins and are three games back from the New York Giants.
