The Boston College Eagles secured a spot in the ACC tournament by taking two of three games in their series win over Louisville over the weekend. The Eagles got late-game heroics in their two wins, starting with Friday night's 2-run walk off home run by Zoe Hines that helped BC turn a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 win. It was her first homer of the season and the only hit that Louisville pitcher Alyssa Zabala allowed in the game. Abby Dunning pitched well for the Eagles as well, scattering 5 hits and allowing 2 earned runs in a complete game performance. Gator Robinson provided the heroics in game two as the Eagles rallied from a 2-run deficit and walked off the Cardinals with her RBI single in the bottom of the 8th inning. Halie Pappion pitched marvelously out of the bullpen and earned the win by giving up just 2 hits and 0 runs while striking out 5 in 3.2 innings of work. The Cardinals belted three home runs as Louisville took game three of the series, 11-4. Daisy Hess led the way, batting 3-4 with a homer, a double, 3 runs and 3 RBI. Vanessa Miller added a homer, a double and 4 RBI in the win.
