Following the Diamondbacks’ victory over the Rockies on Sunday, manager Torey Lovullo confirmed that Alek Thomas will undergo imaging on his left hamstring.
Thomas experienced tightness in his hamstring early in the game, which became evident as he limped past first base after grounding into a double play.
Consequently, Jake McCarthy took his place in the outfield and at the plate.
Thomas has started the season hitting 3/14, including a three run home run against the Rockies on Friday.
Stay tuned for further updates on the extent of his injury.
