Baldanzi price-tag set for Roma and Fiorentina

Sportitalia report that Empoli have set the price-tag for Fiorentina and Roma target Tommaso Baldanzi.

According to transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the asking price will be €10-12m plus performance-related bonuses and add-ons.

The creative midfielder will turn 21 in March and has a long-term contract with the Tuscans until June 2027, having come up through their youth academy.

He made just 14 Serie A appearances so far this season for Empoli and was able to score two goals, including the equaliser against Juventus.

This was due to fitness issues and a recurring ankle injury that flared up in October.

Roma have been repeatedly linked with a move for Baldanzi, but with time running out and the need to sell first, their proposal will probably be postponed until the summer.

Fiorentina are also hovering and preparing to pounce on Baldanzi, who has a goal in three caps for Italy at Under-21 level and was part of the squad that reached the Under-20 World Cup Final.
