Bayern Munich announced on Wednesday that Thomas Tuchel will leave the club at the end of the season.
Manager Tuchel's contract had been due to run until June 2025 but he will depart 12 months early.
Wednesday's announcement came after Bayern had lost three games in a row for the first time since 2015.
Bayern have won 11 straight Bundesliga titles but currently sit eight points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen with 12 rounds of fixtures remaining this season.
Tuchel's exit this summer will form part of Bayern's "sporting realignment", according to a club statement.
Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen said that the club and Tuchel had agreed to "mutually end our collaboration" after "an open, good conversation".
Dreesen added: "Our goal is to carry out a sporting realignment with a new coach for the 2024/25 season.
"Until then, every individual in the club is expressly challenged to achieve the maximum possible in the Champions League and the Bundesliga.
"I also explicitly hold the team responsible. Especially in the Champions League, we are convinced after the defeat at Lazio we will advance to the quarter-finals with our fans behind us."
Tuchel said: "We will leave after this season. Until then, my coaching team and I will continue to do everything we can to ensure maximum success."
Former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain boss Tuchel has been in charge at Bayern since March 2023.
In 44 games, he has guided Bayern to 28 wins, five draws and 11 losses.
