Juventus have some show interest in Daichi Kamada, who has turned his season around after Lazio dismissed Maurizio Sarri and hired Igor Tudor. He has captured a regular role and provided serviceable performances in the last few rounds. On the other hand, his future hangs in the balance due to his peculiar contract, TuttoSport informed (via OneFootball).

The Japanese international could potentially depart the Biancocelesti on a free. He agreed to a seasonal deal plus a three-year option last summer, when several proposed Bosman transfers, most notably to Milan, fell through at the 11th hour. Both parties need to activate it to stick together.

Juventus will need multiple midfielders, and Kamada would be particularly enticing if available on a free. They could make a run at him even if he re-upped. His price tag could be manageable, around €15M. They’d have to go through Lazio, though, which always envisioned as a long-term fit despite his early struggles.

The 27-year-old has thrived in multiple positions in Tudor’s 3-4-2-1 scheme. He has provided two assists in recent fixtures. He has starred 34 total times in his first campaign in Italy.

Our Take on Juventus, Kamada, and Lazio

He couldn’t have possibly forgotten how to play after multiple sound years at Eintracht Frankfurt, and, in fact, it was a matter of role and trust. The Bianconeri will be after a number of midfielders who could be signed for cheap. However, it’s more likely that he’ll stay put.
