AJ Styles Says He Spoke With Will Ospreay About Joining WWE, Wants The Best Talent To Come There

AJ Styles confirms that he spoke with Will Ospreay about potentially signing with WWE.

In a recent interview, Will Ospreay noted that he talked to AJ Styles during his free agency, and “The Phenomenal One” tried to recruit him to WWE. Ospreay ultimately signed with AEW.

In an interview with Mark O’Brien of Irish Wrestling and Entertainment, AJ Styles was asked about Will Ospreay and trying to recruit him. He was asked whether there was other talent

“Sure, of course. Well, it’s hard to keep my eye on….What I’m focused on right now would be WWE and what’s going on in my own family,” AJ Styles said. “So it’s hard to be focused on what’s going on outside of that. But yeah, of course. Why would I not want some of the best talent in the world to come to WWE? I mean, I think they’re great guys.

“Listen, if he were a douchebag, I probably wouldn’t have called him to see if he wants to come here. I think he’s a great talent, and there’s a lot of them out there. So it’s only a matter of time.”
